WPNX 107.7 FM is a low-power FM community radio station in formation, broadcasting from the roof of The SCI Building at 220 West Garden Street in Downtown Pensacola. Operated by Free Radio Pensacola, a nonprofit focused on community media, independent broadcasting, and public access to the airwaves.
WPNX is part of a broader effort to rebuild local broadcasting capacity through hands-on participation and shared media practice. Rather than operating as a finished institution, WPNX is a community experiment being developed in public.
Radio as a shared practice. Participation is not limited to broadcasting — it includes listening, contributing, documenting, organizing, and helping shape the cultural life of the station.
